Chatbots make their way into Swedish banking and finance.

SEB AB, one of the biggest Swedish banks in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Germany, has increased its digital footprint by incorporating the use of chatbots.

The chatbot is a virtual customer-service representatives called Aida that will can quickly handle basic customer requests. Aida is program to sound like a women which, according to research, makes customers feel more comfortable.

John Torgeby, chief executive officer of SEB, had this to say, “There are some frequent, simple tasks that we need to deal with manually today, and in that effort we’re looking into AI to see how we can deploy it, and Aida is one,”.

Chatbots are going online in other banks as well.  Nordea Bank AB uses a chatbot called Nova, and Swedbank AB is using Nina.
