As of today, people who will begin to sign up for Amazon Drive, will no longer have the opportunity of selecting the unlimited cloud storage option. Rather they will able to choose the following plans, $11.99 per year for 100 GB, or $59.99 for 1 TB, with the capacity of 30 TB available for an additional cost of $59.99 per TB.

Now, people who sign up will be getting 5 GB of storage.  Unlimited storage was just introduced 2 years ago, when it was been viewed as a great move in an increasingly competing consumer storage market. As for Amazon Prime members, no worries on the Photo storage as it still remains unlimited. Amazon comments that Drive users have the opportunity to change their plan. Also files from Drive can now be downloaded using the Amazon Drive Desktop Application.
